Training Program
Beginner and Advanced Emergency Medicine and Community Safety Trainings for Movement Organizers in Kentucky and Tennessee
With your support, we will equip 1,000 organizers across Kentucky and Tennessee in hemorrhage control techniques, patient assessment systems, how-to move injured people, deescalation techniques, physical security planning, tactical emergency decision making, assessing and accessing local resources outside the state, and values-aligned ways to communicate with local, state, and federal crisis response agencies.
Learn life saving skills within the context of liberatory social change movements
Implement practices that align with our values and the world we are trying to create
Ground your work in international legacies of resistance and community defense
Learn hemorrhage control techniques, phases of care such as direct threat, indirect threat, and evacuation, as well as how-to move injured people
Train with embodied deescalation techniques, physical security planning, and tactical emergency decision-making
Map local and regional resources outside the state and learn to navigate the emergency response systems in your state in a way that keeps vulnerable communities safe
Learn how to train basic life saving skills in your organization and community
